SYMPTOM(s):
Using version 10.1B a database does not start using the -a startup parameter.
proserve from command line yields the following error:
BROKER 0: The -a parameter is only valid with rfutil -C roll forward
starting database from AdminServer yields the following error:
BROKER ** This process terminated with exit code 1. (8619) (JUNMsg024)
Parameter -a was valid in version 8 to start a database.
CAUSE:
In OpenEdge 10.0x the -a is not valid as a database server startup parameter.
The parameter is only valid for the rfutil command when specific an explicit after image file.
FIX:
Discontinue use of the -a startup parameter for any single user or multi-user session startup other than when using the rfutil command.
