SYMPTOM(s):
Getting Error in Network Daemon attempting test connect from ODBC Datasource.
Database was started within ProControl.
Confirmed in promon R&D, option 1, option 3 that no secondary login broker started.
All Servers for primary broker had been spawned.
CAUSE:
No Secondary Broker was configured for the database in ProControl.
FIX:
Although the preferred method for managing Progress and OpenEdge databases version 9 and higher is to use the Progress / OpenEdge AdminServer, it is still possible to configure a secondary broker for a databases using ProControl.
