Why does the Outline view in Architect take a long time to refresh?
GOAL:
Is it normal that the Outline view does not refresh immediately when opening a file in the Editor?

FIX:
The time required to update the Outline view is affected by several factors:
1. the size and complexity of the file along with all its include files
2. the speed of the processor(s)
3. The user typing. The AST update is on a 500ms delay since last keystroke. Typing in the editor resets the counter if the AST is not building. If it is building, then it is cancelled and the timer is restarted.
