Missing libnsl.so.1 and libresolv.so.1 on Sequent PTX 4.x
As of 7.3E and 8.x of Progress there is no specific port for the
Sequent PTX 4.x Operating System. The V.4 binaries are compatible
and now are the intended version for this platform. We now port
these versions on a V.4 Operating System and certify on V.4
compatible Operating Systems such as the Sequent PTX 4.x platform.
/usr/lib/resolv.so.1 and /usr/lib/libnsl.so.1 are some of the
library files that Progress relies on to properly run a Progress
Client. These library file do not exist on the new Sequent PTX 4.4
Operating system. You must create a symbolic link to the following
library files to resolve this. Please refer to the man pages for
your Operating System on the 'ln' command.
/usr/lib/libnsl.so.1 should be linked to /usr/lib/libnsl.so
/usr/lib/libresolv.so.1 should be linked to /usr/lib/libsocket.so
