SYMPTOM(s):
Trying to install Crystal Reports Server Edition and receiving error
Invalid control numbers
Control numbers being entered are valid for the license being installed.
Crystal Reports Server was downloaded from the Progress Electronic Software Distribution Site.
Progress Technical Support was able to successfully install the product with the control codes on one of their test systems.
java -version shows 1.6
CAUSE:
The machine that Crystal Reports Server is being installed on contains an Operating System version and Java version that is incompatible with Crystal Reports XL Server.
FIX:
Install correct Java and Operating System release as specified in:
