When reviewing tcpdump output of packet trace files, what are ethertype Unknown (0x886d) packets?
FIX:
These are heartbeat packets between network devices of a set of cluster machines. They happen approximately 2 seconds apart in many cases to notify the second machine that the first machine is still functional.
