GOAL:
OpenEdge Architect: Is there a way to sort the field names in alphabetical order in the DB Structure View?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
OpenEdge 10.1B01 32-bit Service Pack
FIX:
The columns in the DB Structure View are displayed in the SQL-92 order which is generally the order of their creation and is based on the _Field._field-rpos for OpenEdge tables. There is currently no way to sort the field names in alphabetical order in the DB Structure View of the OpenEdge Architect.
As a workaround select the table by clicking on its name in the DB Structure View and then in the DB Details View select the OpenEdge Columns tab and the Name column to sort the field names. Alternatively, you can select the Columns tab and then the Column Name column to sort the field names.
