GOAL:
Does Progress have the equivalent of ORACLE database links?
FIX:
A ORACLE database link is a schema object in one ORACLE database that enables you to access objects on another database. Once you have created a database link, you can use it to refer to tables and views on the other database.
Using SQL multi-database queries with database catalogs provides equivalent functionality for Progress. This functionality is available in OpenEdge 10.1B upwards.
