GOAL:
What Progress files should be excluded from an antivirus program.
GOAL:
Should I exclude individual files or should I exclude the whole directory?
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
Products / Versions
FIX:
All the files in the Progress installation directory should be excluded.
Any directory containing database files should also be excluded (including .db, .d1 etc., .bi, .b1 etc, .ai, .a1 etc).
To avoid any potential issues with the client portion of an application, the working directory and any sub folders of the working directory should be excluded from scans.
Whether the files are excluded individually or by directory the result will be the same, they will not get scanned.
