proupdt run while Progress is online
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1E
Red Hat Linux 8.x
CAUSE:
Updates (proupdt) can be run online, but only take effect when restarted; INSTALLS cannot be run while the Progress environment is online (proinst). The Segmentation fault results from the fact that the update is being run on an unsupported configuration:
Progress 9.1E; Red Hat Linux release 8.0 (Psyche).
In addition, the progress.cfg file has been replaced with a previous install from (supported) RedHat Enterprise environment.
FIX:
Request update licenses for a certified version of RedHat 8 (Progres 9.1D)
or
Upgrade OS to supported Linux for 9.1E
