GOAL:
Why do I see more users in promon User Control than in the proshut <database name> -C list?
GOAL:
Why does a user that was just disconnected with proshut or promon still appear in other menus within promon?
GOAL:
Is there a way to force a disconnect of a user to release immediately record locks wiithout ending the transaction
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
Progress/OpenEdge Product Family
FIX:
If a user has initiated a disconnect request, or if a client session is being disconnected even if not initiated by the user then that session will no longer be listed in the proshut <dbname> -C list output.
The user(s) will continue to be listed in the promon User Control screens or several other screens/ menus in promon until all activities related to disconnection of a user are completed in the database engine.
