How to delete foreign schema with ODBC dataserver

How to Delete a foreign schema with the ODBC Dataserver
=======================================================

Please note that this is only necessary for versions earlier than
Version 9.

You may receive the following error when trying to delete a foreign
schema from a holder when using the ODBC dataserver (note that this
error may occur even AFTER you have deleted the tables in the schema
holder):

"cannot remove non-progress data defns from schema holder that still
contains table definitions"

To delete a foreign schema from a holder, you must
1. delete all the tables (visible and hidden)
2. use the Dataserver->odbc utilities->delete dataserver schema option
from the Data Admin tool

How to delete the hidden tables
===============================

Go into the Dictionary, select the View pulldown menu, and the Show
Hidden Tables option. If you do this, you will see that all the ODBC-
specific hidden tables that are still in the foreign schema. After you
remove all of these, the removal of files in your foreign schema is
complete and you should be able to proceed.
