GOAL:
Can READ-XMLSCHEMA for temp-tables be used with a non-OpenEdge XML schema ?
GOAL:
Can a temp-table be created based on a 3rd-party .xsd file ?
FACT(s) (Environment):
OpenEdge 10.1x
OpenEdge 10.2x
All Supported Operating Systems
FIX:
The READ-XML and READ-XMLSCHEMA methods for temp-tables are intended to be used with .xsd files generated by OpenEdge only (for example, .xsd files created using WRITE-XMLSCHEMA).
They were not tested with other forms of xml schema definition files, therefore the behavior when doing so is undefined.
If a schema needs to be created based on a non-OpenEdge .xsd file, a ProDataSet object should be used to do this.
