GOAL:
How to trap an event generated by killing a Progress process in Windows Task Manager?
GOAL:
Can Progress/OpenEdge trap an event generated by killing a Progress process in Windows Task Manager?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
Windows NT 32 Intel/Windows 2000
FIX:
Progress/OpenEdge cannot monitor and trap an event generated by killing a running Progress process in Windows Task Manager. One solution is to create an ActiveX control event handler that Progress/OpenEdge can use for this event.
