SYMPTOM(s):
genpassword does not correctly handle "$" character
password is not encrypted by genpassword utility when it contains "$" character
genpassword -password returns an empty prompt
Unable to encrypt password for unified brokers using genpassword utility
CAUSE:
This is a known issue
FIX:
As a workaround, use Progress Explorer (Broker -> Owner information) to set a password, which works correctly.
If using Progress Explorer is not an option, please modify the (OS) password for the user in question to be without "$".
