GOAL:
What is the position of Progress to cell bases systems 128-byte cache lines ?
GOAL:
Does Progress recommend to disable the dataPrefetch on cell based systems ?
GOAL:
Does dataPrefetch reduces the performance to the Progress database ?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
FIX:
Performance tests completed on HP Superdome systems have demonstrated that
there is no difference between 16 byte alignment with the minimum of 128 bytes
between latches and the 128 byte alignment with minimum of 128 bytes between latches.
These results indicate that for the Progress Database Engine, there is no difference
if the dataPrefetch is enabled or not in the system.
