Status: Unverified
FACT(s) (Environment):
OpenEdge 10.1x
Windows
SYMPTOM(s):
Using CSLIST32.OCX in application
Installed Client-Networking license
CSLIST32.OCX is not found in DLC\Bin\System
CSLIST32.OCX is installed with development products such as OpenEdge Studio and OpenEdge Architect
CAUSE:
This is expected behaviour; the CSLIST32.OCX, along with CIHTTP.PCX, SSTREE.OCX and MSCOMCTL.OCX are packaged with the development products. They are used by the development products themselves, and by default not supported in applications, thus not packaged with run-time products like Client Networking. The three ActiveX's included in development and runtime products are CSCOMB32.OCX, CSSPIN32.OCX, PSTIMER.OCX. These are supported by default for development and deployment. Customers wishing to use other OCX's than these three must consider them part of their applications and package them along with any other application component. From a supportability perspective they will be considered as any other OCX that customers may be using and that are not included with our products.
FIX:
Copy CSLIST32.OCX from an existing installation and register it on the system where only Client-Networking is installed
