EasyAsk dictionary has User Groups (see solution P131464 if not using User Groups)
CAUSE:
Security Model for Merchandising
Access control of various merchandising functions in Data Workshop and the browser-based merchandising functions have been implemented in EasyAsk since V9.2.
Access Permission
All users in the same user group have the same access. If a user belongs to multiple user groups, they will have access based on the highest permission allowed in these user groups.
There are three types of access permission:
Read
Users with Read only permission can only view the contents.
Update
Users with Update only permission have full access to the functionality.
No Access
Users with No-Access can not launch the restricted Data Workshop merchandising functions.
Assigning Permission
To assign user group security follow the described steps below.
Step 1,
Assigning Permission
Open User Security Dialog from the menu title bar, as follows:
Dictionary > Properties > Security tab > User Groups button
Step 2, Choose a User Group
Choose a user group.
Select the button: Administrative Workbench Security button.
This will bring up the Administrative Workbench Security dialog.
Step 3, Changing Permissions
The following functions are available form the Administrative Workbench Security dialog:
Disable Access checkbox ? disables access to all merchandising functions.
Update Permission column ? double-clicking this column will transfer merchandising permission types to Read Permission.
Read Permission - double-clicking this column will transfer merchandising permission types to Update Permission.
OK button ? invokes the changed permissions when updates are completed.
Cancel button ? cancels any update edits made before the OK button is clicked.
Help button ? invokes the pertinent help topic for this dialog.
Permission Types and Functionality
The following matrix indicates the permission type, its functionality and whether it is available for DWM (Data Workshop merchandising security) or BBM (Browser-based merchandising security).

* The Vocabulary functions in the browser incorporates the same functionality as the Synonym Editor functions of the Dictionary Editor in the Data Workshop.
Look and Feel
The controls will be disabled in Data Workshop dialogs and browser-based merchandising functions when access is restricted for users with Read only permission.
