Unable to open cross-reference (XREF) file <file-name>. (1087)
Source file is placed in sub-directory structure with more than 2 levels
Output directory mentioned in error message does not exist
Issue does not happen if the project source directory structure already exists in the XREF-XML output directory
CAUSE:
OpenEdge Architect fails to re-create the source directory structure in the output directory for XREF-XML. This is a known issue being investigated by Development.
FIX:
To workaround the issue, it is necessary to select a directory where the directory structure of the project already exists as the output directory for XREF-XML.
The following directories are suitable options:
- the source tree itself,
- the build output directory for r-code,
- another directory where the project directory structure has been replicated manually.
