SYMPTOM(s):
9.1E developers sessions timeout when connect to 9.1C database
Developers error is: Connection timed out on socket=31 for usernum ##,attempt disconnect. (1280)
9.1C standard clients do not have any problems with 9.1C database.
Developers are using a bos.net.tcp.client.
bos.net.tcp is version 5.3.0.50.
No routers.
No firewall.
FACT(s) (Environment):
IBM AIX
Progress 9.1E
CHANGE:
Developers moved from AIX 5.1 to AIX 5.3 when they were upgrade to 9.1E.
CAUSE:
This is a known issue with bos.net.tcp.client version 5.3.0.50.
FIX:
Install bos.net.tcp.client APAR IY89429.
