GOAL:
Does Progress use the MSG_OOB function in OpenEdge?
GOAL:
Is MSG_OOB used by OpenEdge for servers or clients?
FIX:
No. Progress does not use the "out-of-band messages" (MSG_OOB) in OpenEdge TCP/IP. We use the default include file from Microsoft. Progress does not use MSG_OOB in our source code. It would be passed in when receiving data (recv ( ) call), but Progress does not pass any flags when receiving data.
