FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
HP-UX 11 32-bit
SYMPTOM(s):
Some relationships between tables are not created after upgrading to Results 9.1C and doing an Application rebuild.
CAUSE:
When all related tables do not show up after an upgrade and application rebuild. It may be caused because Results will not pick up relationships/joins if 2 or more tables have the same index based on the same/common field, only if this is the only index component.
Another possible cause for this problem may be that some relationships were manually created. After the upgrade and an Application Rebuild the QC file is recreated from scratch based on the table relationships existing in the database schema. All previously created manual relationships no longer exist.
FIX:
To preserve the previously created table relationships:
1. Make a copy of the original .qc and .ql files and any fastload files. Then remove them all.
2. Perform an Index rebuild on the Database itself.
3. Perform an Application Rebuild.
4. Recreate the relationships manually or cut and paste them from the old qc to the new new QC file.
