Kbase P122879: prowin32.exe startup is slow after moving application to another server

SYMPTOM(s):
prowin32.exe startup is slow
Progres 4GL application moved from 1 file server to another fileserver
All latest security updates are installed
No packet shapers
Progress environment excluded from Anti-Virus auto-protect
depends.exe shows delays in the network authorisation/ intitialisation/ navigation in finding the neccessary .dll's to load
Search Paths shows a server at the begining of the path old server which isn't alive anymore,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PSC\PROGRESS\<ver>\Startup shows correct DLC and PROPATH
set shows correct OS PATHS for Path and DLC
CAUSE:
scanning the registry found that the following keys were still pointing to the old server that was still causing the reference to the old server:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\prowin32.exe
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\showcfg.exe
FIX:
Export the keys and then modify these to point to the correct location of the executables.
