Status: Unverified
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 8.x
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
SYMPTOM(s):
Key functionality has changed in slickEdit
After upgrading from Progress 8.x the CTRL+backspace and CTRL+left arrow keys don't work.
The CTRL + <key> functionality has changed after upgrading from Progress 8.x.
CTRL+backspace deletes a whole line when it should only delete the current word.
CTRL+left arrow only moves the cursor back two characters, when it should move back to the beginning of the word.
CAUSE:
Bug# OE00048037
FIX:
This is expected behavior. The slickEdit color coding editor does not have a key board command set exactly like the standard editor in Progress 8.x and there are no plans to try and make them identical.
