The Database log file shows the following error when the OE10.0x or OE10.1A client connects to the OE10.1B (or higher) database:
Attempted to return record with DBKEY > 32-bits to an older client.
FACT(s) (Environment):
New database is created in 10.1B or later
OpenEdge 10.0x
OpenEdge 10.1A
OpenEdge 10.1B
OpenEdge 10.1C
All Supported Operating Systems
CAUSE:
The OE10.1B (or higher) database generates a 64-bit key by default which can not be handled by less then a OE10.1B client.
FIX:
Upgrade the client to OpenEdge 10.1B or higher.
