Error:object libcurses.so (Install of 7.3E on Dig Unix 4.0D)
There is a potential problem with 7.3E on Digital Unix 4.0D if you
are missing a Digital 'SUBSET' OSFOBSOLETE425. 7.3E of Progress has
been certified to run on Digital Unix 4.0D but if you are missing
this subset you will possibly receive the following shlib error when
trying to run a Progress executable: (ie. _progres, _mprosrv...etc)
Error:
$DLC/_progres: /sbin/loader: Fatal Error: object libcurses.so from
liblist in $DLC/_progres has version "osf.1", which does not match
the found object: /usr/shlib/libcurses.so (with version "xpg4")
If this error is encountered you can check to see if the 'SUBSET'
OSFOBSOLETE425 Obsolete Commands and Utilities (System Administration)
has been installed by doing the following:
# setld -i | grep -i obsolete
Once you run this command you should see: 'installed' (with the subset
name) returned on the command line. If you do not see that this
'SUBSET' is installed and you are receiving the shlib error when
trying to run a Progress executable you will need to contact Digital
about getting this 'SUBSET' as well as installing it.
Once again the 'SUBSET' needed is:
