Apptivity : How to fix an ODBC DLL version mismatch error
The following error:
The ODBC resource DLL (C:\winnt\system32\ODBCINT.DLL) is a
different version than the ODBC driver manager
(C:\winnt\system32\ODBC32.DLL). You need to reinstall the ODBC
components to ensure proper operation. Press ok to proceed,
Cancel to abort.
indicates that a recent software installation modified one of
the DLLs listed. This caused a version mismatch between the
two DLLs. Various software installations may cause this to occur.
While this is not a problem specific to Apptivity, you may see
this error when opening or running a project in Apptivity. In
most cases the error will not affect how the project runs,
however the error should be corrected.
To fix this error it is recommended that you download the latest
ODBC Driver Manager Update from Microsoft.
At the time this kbase is being written the update is available
for download from http://www.microsoft.com/data/odbc/download.htm.
Download from the section entitled "Updated ODBC 3.0 Driver
Manager".
Be sure to download the Intel (x86) version if you are running
on an Intel platform. Also note that installation of the
update requires administrator privileges.
