SYMPTOM(s):
Get error message (10386) when starting replication target database.
The source and target databases must both have large files enabled. (10386)
Source database does not have large files enabled.
Target database is a restore of source database and does have large files enabled.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Fathom Replication
All Supported Operating Systems
CAUSE:
The restore directory contained a .st file that had an extent declared larger than 2 GB, thus enabling large files on the target database restore process.
FIX:
The Target database must be re-established so both source and target match with regards to large files being enabled or not.
Delete the target database.
Edit the .st file so no extents are greater than 2 GB.
Restore the database and enable for replication as a target database.
