Apptivity - Installing Developer and Server on one machine
Note: If you install Apptivity Developer (a "Typical Install" in
Apptivity 2.1), Apptivity Server will also be installed. The
same was true of a Developer install in Apptivity 2.0.
Apptivity Server is run by Apptivity Developer when code is
run from within Developer.
In most cases there is no need to install Server after installing
Developer. This is always true if the installation will be
used for development purposes only.
If for some reason you wish to install Apptivity Server on the
same machine where you installed Apptivity Developer, you must
install Apptivity Server into a separate directory.
If you do not install Apptivity Server into a separate directory,
you may get an error stating, "One or more files essential for
generating Java source is/ar missing".
To recover from this state Apptivity must be uninstalled and
reinstalled.
