SYMPTOM(s):
Error 53 communicating with ProService
No network card installed on the machine.
CAUSE:
No network card installed on the machine.
FIX:
To resolve this error, you might have to install a network card or verify that the operating system is acknowledging the network card.
If you do not have a network card installed or do not plan to have a network card on the machine, you might have to install the Microsoft Local Loopback Adapter as a possible workaround. This workaround simulates network connectivity.
The Windows NT or Windows 2000 installation CD is required to install the Loopback Adapter. If you use the IPX/SPX protocol, accept the default frame type of 802.3. For TCP/IP configurations, specify an IP address of 100.100.100.001 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.000 (you must restart the Windows NT Server for this change to become effective).
