The Setup Utility is configuring OpenEdge files

Task Manager indicates that the setup process is not responding
Task Manager shows that java.exe is using CPU
Answered NO when asked to install Sonic components
C:\WINDOWS\oesetup.log indicates the process is hanging when tailoring classes for Sonic
FACT(s) (Environment):
OpenEdge 10.1A
Windows
CAUSE:
Bug# OE00128396
FIX:
Option #1
Upgrade to OpenEdge 10.1B or later
Option #2
During the installation process when asked to install Sonic components select "Yes" (even if there are no plans to use Sonic). On the following screen when the Sonic configuration is displayed look for the Sonic Container Name. Edit the bad character from the host name. During the installation process, messages stating Progress could not connect to the Sonic Broker will be displayed. These messages can be ignored if Sonic is not being used.
Option #3
Kill the java.exe process spawned by the tailoring class. Killing this process will allow the install to complete, less the java tailoring.
