6.2M01 NLM: connection limit bug: both -mprosrv and _mprotli

This notebook entry describes two issues found in the PROGRESS 6.2M01
NLM product.

With the _mprosrv and _mprotli -N spx executables, there is a limit of
ninty connections to a NLM Server (or servers). For example, if you
have two NLM servers running, you can have only 45 clients connected
simultaneously to the two NLMs. (2 NLMs + 45 clients = 90 Total
connections)

If you go beyond the 90 connections, the Netware Server freezes
up and you must reboot the Netware File Server. Progress Software
does not plan to fix this issue.

With the _mprotli -N tli server, the number of connections available
are equal to Netware Users License. If you are using a five-user
Netware license with the _mprotli -N tli db server, you are limited
to a total of five client connections to NLM(s).
Total Number of Connections = Netware License Number.

This second issue is addressed in the 6.2M06 NLM patch. With the
patch you can connect up to 250 users to the NLM, regardless of the
Netware License.
