SYMPTOM(s):
AdminServer dies as soon as trending gets enabled on Fathom Management
When trending is disabled, AdminServer is running fine
No error messages are present in admserv.log file
Without Fathom Management running AdminServer stays alive
Using correct java version with regards to installed Progress/OpenEdge version
Starting AdminServer with nohup does not help
Changing ports for FathomTrendDatabase or dbagent listener does not help
Single jdbc connection to any database on the system works fine
Using LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1 in DLC/bin/java_env
CAUSE:
The exact cause is unknown - probably incompatibility with the used Linux version (RH 3 UP 5 and SLES 9 SP3) and LD_ASSUME_KERNEL.
FIX:
Take LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1 settings out of the DLC/bin/java_env and restart the AdminServer.
