BI corruption VMS 7.3c08 single-user to 7.3c15 broker
Progress 7.3c08 on OpenVMS allows to connect in single-user mode to a
database broker started using 7.3c15. The connection causes
Before-Image corruption (Errors 886, 887, 888),
Trying to connect 7.3c08 to 7.3c15 multi-user shared-memory you will
get error:
There is no server for database <dbname> (1423)
To avoid the problem:
1) Connect 7.3c08 using Networking (-H -N -S), having started the
7.3c15 broker with networking also (-H -N -S).
and
2) Upgrade 7.3c08 to 7.3c15 asap.
