In November, Progress Software changed the lifecycle status of Progress Version 9 to ?Mature.? Products in the Mature phase are available for resale and deployment, but have limited support services available and are not evaluated for certification against new operating systems or for new Progress features.
The key driver for this lifecycle change was to accommodate the maturity and retirement of underlying technologies by their vendors, forcing us to follow suit. Progress Software always recommends using the release in the ?Active? phase, currently OpenEdge 10.1A, for any future development projects.
