SYMPTOM(s):
Word Completion in the OpenEdge Architect does not work with the "/" key from the keypad
ALT+/ does not work when using the "/" key from the keypad
CAUSE:
The "/" from the keypad is seen as a division symbol instead of a slash symbol
FIX:
Please follow these steps to configure "/" key from the keypad for Word Completion:
- Go to Window menu -> Preferences -> General -> Keys
- Search for the Word Completion command and double-click that line to modify it.
- In the "Key Sequence" section, click at the end of "Alt+/" and press Backspace.
- Now press "Alt+/" (the one from the keypad).
- You should see "Alt+Numpad_Divide, Alt+Numpad_Divide" as the value (leave it like that).
- Now click the Add button.
- Click Apply then OK.
