The following steps show how to turn off the automatic code generation for the WIDGET-ID attribute when programs are saved in the AppBuilder:
1) Open the AppBuilder
2) Select 'Preferences...' from the 'Options' menu
3) Select the 'Widget ID' tab
4) Uncheck the 'Automatically assign widget IDs' check box
5) Click the 'Save Settings' button
