GOAL:
How to deploy applications that use the AppServer Utility procedures?
GOAL:
How to define AppServer partitions during deployment?
GOAL:
How to deploy partition information?
GOAL:
What is the appsrvtt.d file?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
FIX:
When the Partition tool is used to define partitions, the information is stored in a file called appsrvtt.d, in the working directory of the computer that created the partition.
To deploy applications that use the AppServer Utility procedures, the appsrvtt.d must be used in the PROPATH. On Microsoft Windows it is possible to map a drive for each user to the location where the appsrvtt.d file resides, and add this directory to the PROPATH. If mapping is not possible a copy of appsrvtt.d must be deployed along with any applications that use partitions.
Note that as-utils.r must also be deployed if the client system doesn't have a Development license.
