Status: Unverified
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows 64-bit
SYMPTOM(s):
Progress ODBC drivers do not appear in the ODBC Data Sources Administration tool.
Progress ODBC drivers are not listed when trying to add a new ODBC Data Source.
Installation was done as Complete.
CAUSE:
On 64-bit Windows machines, the ODBC Data Sources Administration tool will only display usable 64-bit ODBC drivers by default.
As of Progress version 9 and OpenEdge 10, the ODBC drivers we ship are 32-bit, and this is the reason why they do not appear listed in the ODBC Data Sources Administration tool.
FIX:
Start the 32-bit ODBC Data Sources Administration tool.
This is located in %WINDIR%\syswow64\odbcad32.exe.
