FACT(s) (Environment):
OpenEdge 10.1x
SYMPTOM(s):
ADM2 SmartDataBrowse String Attributes are not saved by the AppBuilder
Adding String attributes to a SmartDataBrowse column, if the browse is re-opened in the AppBuilder the String Attributes are blank.
The AppBuilder does not save SmartDataBrowse String Attributes.
CAUSE:
This is a known issue being investigated by Development
FIX:
None at this time.
However the problem relates to the AppBuilder tool itself and how it reads browse column string attributes.
If the SmartDataBrowse source file is opened in the procedure editor it can be seen that the string attribute has been saved in the static definition of the browse. So the problem is that the AppBuilder does not actually read the definition of the browse correctly when it is opened.
