Status: Unverified
SYMPTOM(s):
Cannot start replication source database on cluster
Access to database source not allowed. The database is enabled for site replication but either replication is not running, or this process is not authorized to open a replication enabled database. (10356)
database registered with Cluster Manager
.pf file includes -DBservice replserv
.pf file includes cluster protected
disabling replication, the database starts with PROCLUSTER
unregistering from cluster, database starts
Access to database source not allowed
CAUSE:
The .pf file must not include the "-db source" This causes a multitude of issues
FIX:
Steps:
1.) remove the '-db source' line in the .pf in use
For replication + cluster, the .pf file must as a minimum include:
-cluster protected
-DBService replserv
2.) Start the source database either through the Cluster Administrator or from the cmd line of a proenv session:
proenv> q:
proenv> procluster source start
