SYMPTOM(s):
proutil -C dbipcs returns message "no valid name list found"
ipcs -m returns message
CAUSE:
This error is related to the Operating System not Progress itself
This can be caused for two situations
1) /unix link is missing
2) The unix file is zero bytes
FIX:
To fix this on AIX run the following command :
ln -s /usr/lib/boot/unix_up /unix (signle CPU)
ln -s /usr/lib/boot/unix_mp /unix (Multiple CPU)
If the unix file is zero bytes please contact IBM Support for more information
on how to fix that situation.
