RESULTS - Permissions and rep#####.p files

INTRODUCTION:
============

Error Message: "** Unable to open file:<rep00002.p>. Errno=13 (98)

This error occurs with Results after a re-install on
an earlier crashed system.

WHY YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS:
=========================

As this error may occur on re-installed versions of Results without
having checked out the permissions. This may cause quite some havoc
amongst Results users.

PROCEDURAL APPROACH:
===================

Each users' .QD and associated rep#####.p files must be in a
separate directory. If there is more than one .QD file in the same
directory files will be constantly overwritten as Results keeps
track of the already created reports (which are automatically being
named rep#####.p). Also the rep#####.p files must be sitting in the
same directory as the .QD file where they are listed or they will
constantly get lost. It's quite often that customers have more
people working from the same directory and this happens.

The Results .QD file is built using the UNIX login names. Renaming
the .QD file will overcome this problem.
