GOAL:
How to reduce OpenEdge Replication network traffic.
GOAL:
How to reduce Fathom replication network traffic.
GOAL:
How to reduce the network bandwidth requirement for Fathom replication.
GOAL:
How to restrict the amount of data sent to the network when using Fathom Replication.
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge Replication 10.x
FIX:
If there is limited bandwidth to work with Fathom replication, it is possible to reduce the size of the packages sent to the network by reducing the size of the AI block.
To change the AI block size at the source perform the following steps:
1) proutil source -C disablesitereplication source
2) rfutil source -C aimage end
3) rfutil source -C aimage truncate -aiblocksize 1
