SYMPTOM(s):
Internal error (rec services) on SUM of decimal data
When sorting the SUM of a decimal column, sql gives the error:
[DataDirect][OpenEdge JDBC Driver][OpenEdge] Internal error -16 (general record services failure) in SQL from subsystem RECORD SERVICES function data_to_rec called from sts_tpl_hdl_t::do_insert on Temp table #1 for Field #2. Save log for Progress technical support.
SUM function is being applied to a decimal column
the SUM in turn is used in a divide expression
the result of the divide is sorted
