GOAL:
How to autostart databases when adminserver starts?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
FIX:
You can set this up manually by adding the line:
autostart=true
to the configuration for that database in the conmgr.properties file.
Better though is to use Progress Explorer to modify that file. Right-click on the database in the Progress Explorer treeview, select Properties and you will see that there is a checkbox -
Automatically Start this Database when the Admin server is Started.
If you check this box, then Progress Explorer will update the conmgr.properties file, and the database should auto-start when the adminserver is started.
