SYMPTOM(s):
Oracle DataServer memory violation
Memory violation is random
Memory violation is happening to both WebSpeed and AppServer clients
4GL client terminates with memory violation intermittently
4GL client GPF intermittently
Client abnormally terminates with Oracle DataServer
Stack traces for both Webspeed and AppServer clients look similar

CHANGE:
Oracle database upgraded to 10g R2
CAUSE:
Oracle bug# 3396162 Wrong results possible after cursor rebuilt with different describe information.
FIX:
This is fixed in Oracle10g R2 10.2.0.1.0, Oracle10g R1 10.1.0.5.0 and Oracle9i 9.2.0.8.0.
On Windows, this is fixed in 10.1.0.4 Patch 6 and 9.2.0.7 Patch 3 or higher.
This fix affects both Client and Server, so the fix need to be applied on both Client and Server.
Please note, the oracle version listed in the fix might not be the exact required version, please have your Oracle dba work with Oracle technical support if you see above stack tracese occuring.
