GOAL:

Alert to customers using the auditing feature of OE10.1A and OE10.1A01

FIX:

Dear Valued Customer and Partner:
Please note this information alerting you to a potential problem concerning deployment of auditing core services in OpenEdge 10.1A and 10.1A01 for your partners and customers.

We have discovered four (4) key issues that will prevent successful deployment of the auditing feature to a production site due to incorrect data being recorded in the audit log. If your partners or customers encounter these issues, they will likely need to restart the use of the auditing service once they have received the fix from technical support.
The issues are:
1) changes to decimal column values are recorded without the sign,
2) database login information is recorded multiple times when connected to multiple databases,
3) changes to columns not enabled for auditing are logged if other columns in the same table are enabled for auditing, and
4) sorting and comparing on an audit enable database with actions taking place around UTC midnight.
OpenEdge Development has reproduced the issues and has completed the fixes for these bugs. The fixes will be included in the next service pack, OpenEdge 10.1A02, scheduled for October 2006.
In the unlikely event that your partner or customer may be experiencing issues in deploying auditing services prior, please have them contact Technical Support for further instructions.
