SYMPTOM(s):
Cannot create database as copy of other database with DataDictonary tool
Unable to copy source or target database, because we couldn't connect to it. (8265)
SYSTEM ERROR: File <file-name> too small <length>, blocksize <blocksize> extend failed." (4524) in database log file
prodb fails with error (8265)
Using Windows Terminal Server
using mapped network drive as database destination
Same works fine on other Windows Terminal Server machines
FACT(s) (Environment):
OpenEdge 10.1A
CAUSE:
Unknown Operating system / network problem. The dbutil is checking the .b1 file to see if it 8192 (on bi block) in length. A delay in extending the .bi file is causing the error.
FIX:
Make sure to copy database to local network drive or fix Operating system / network problem.
