SYMPTOM(s):
Enabling remote monitoring fails on fathom machine
ERROR: The host Fathom is running on must be specified
fmconfig -enable is run as Local Admin/root account
CAUSE:
When enabling remote monitoring on the fathom machine, the fmconfig utility uses Install.Dir to get $DLC and then looks inside the $DLC/addons file to see if it is running on a Fathom system or a remote system. If this file is missing,corrupt or cannot be read, fmconfig cannot tell whether or not Fathom management is installed and therefore assumes that this command is being run on the remote machine with missing command line entries.
FIX:
Check that $DLC/addons is intact and contains the following relevant to your environment:

or
[addons]
fathom_v3.1A=/opt/psc/fm31A
